After obtaining several postponements, the employer now has until March 24, 2014, to submit its response to the Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB) adjudicator in respect of the corrective action requested by CAPE.
The PSLRB adjudicator rendered a decision on this grievance in August 2013. In that decision, the adjudicator gave the parties 90 days to come up with a solution. However, the parties failed to reach agreement on corrective action, and CAPE asked the PSLRB to put the grievance back on the schedule.
The adjudicator then asked CAPE to identify the issues in dispute, which was done on January 17, 2014. The adjudicator subsequently asked CAPE to list the individuals affected by this grievance and identify the corrective action requested for each affected individual; this was done on February 10, 2014.
Lastly, the adjudicator gave the employer two deadline extensions to respond to CAPE’s requested corrective action. The last of these extensions expires March 24. We should receive a copy of the employer’s response on that date.
