On May 19, CAPE announced that it had reached a tentative collective agreement for our TR members. The collective bargaining committee voted unanimously to recommend the terms of the agreement to membership.
Details of the new agreement are available here.
VOTING PERIOD
Members will need to vote on whether to ratify or reject the agreement. Voting will take place online over a 12-day period, from Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 16.
You must be a registered CAPE member to vote. If you are not yet registered, please complete the form here. Due to high volume, it may take several days for your registration to be processed so please submit your information as soon as possible.
For more information on the ratification process, please consult the CAPE website.
ATTEND A PRE-VOTE WEBINAR: GENERAL & INTERPRETERS
Before voting is open, CAPE will be hosting two webinars – one general session for the TR group and one specifically for interpreters. These virtual information sessions will provide more details about the agreement, and the bargaining team will be available to answer your questions.
Attendance at these information sessions is not mandatory to cast your vote. Both sessions will be recorded and published for those who are unable to attend.
ATTEND THE WEBINAR(S)
Interpreter members are welcome to attend both sessions if they choose:
Thursday, June 1:
12:00-13:00 EDT – GENERAL
Friday, June 2:
12:00-13:00 EDT – INTERPRETERS
Links will be emailed and posted on the website before the webinars. If you will require any accommodations, please indicate that on this form.
SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE
To help us better prepare for these sessions, please send us your questions at negociationstr2022@acep-cape.ca. We will make sure to publish the answers before the end of the voting period.
Updates will be sent as they become available. Please share this information with your TR colleagues who may not yet be registered.
