CAPE congratulates new PSAC president on recent election

The Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) congratulates Sharon DeSousa on her recent election as national president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).

This is a pivotal moment for federal public sector unions, and we look forward to working closely with Ms. DeSousa as we look to achieve big wins on remote work, Phoenix and improving working conditions for all public sector employees.

CAPE also congratulates Alex Silas on his election as national vice-president and extends its gratitude to outgoing president Chris Aylward for his six years of outspoken leadership and collaboration as the head of PSAC.

These leaders, along with regional executive vice-presidents Ruth Lau-MacDonald, Chris Di Liberatore, Yvon Barrière, Craig Reynolds, Marianne Hladun, Jamey Mills and Josée-Anne Spirito, will help to shape a more engaged and mobilized federal public sector.
