Telework Local Organizing Committees

Local organizing committees are inter-union organizing groups that will set federal public sector workers up to take coordinated actions in the workplace in the fight for telework rights. Any unionized federal public sector worker from any union is welcome to join.

CAPE will provide all the training and resources to get you started in systematically organizing your coworkers to fight back.

Sign up now

When you sign up, we’ll be in touch about basic organizer training and will connect you to your coworkers that have formed a local organizing committee at your department. Some departments haven’t started organizing committees yet, so make sure talk to your coworkers and get others to sign up too. That way we can help start one at your department.

The first step in our ladder of escalation is to get a petition signed by the majority of workers in a given department. The petition demands that your deputy minister ask the Treasury Board for an exemption to the mandatory in-office days policy.
