On January 15, 2018, CAPE filed an “unfair labour practice complaint” to the Federal Public Service Staff Relations and Employment Board (FPSLREB) alleging that the Treasury Board had failed to implement the EC and TR retro payments within the 150-day implementation deadline of October 21, 2017.

Between February and June 2019, Greg Phillips, the President of the Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE), participated in annual general meetings across the country.

In recent weeks, CAPE has been meeting with members of the Translation Bureau’s leadership team to discuss artificial intelligence (AI). CAPE has been particularly interested in understanding their intentions around translation technology.

Thanks to the efforts made by the pride movement, public opinion has dramatically shifted in support of the LGBTQ2+ rights in Canada.
