In memory of Caroline Pageau

Caroline Pageau

1964-2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Caroline Pageau, CAPE TR vice-president, passed away on January 1, 2025, after fighting a long illness. Caroline was a beloved, well-respected and active member of the broad CAPE family, serving on the National Executive Committee as a TR director in 2022 and later as TR vice-president in 2024.

Caroline’s passion for language and service guided her remarkable career. She joined the Translation Bureau in 2019, bringing with her a wealth of experience as translator, consultant and project manager. Her dedication extended beyond her profession, as she was deeply engaged in education and public service.

As a union leader, Caroline was a dedicated advocate for her colleagues, fighting tirelessly to create positive changes in her workplace and within her union. Her steadfast commitment to fairness, justice and equity was evident in every cause she championed, and even as her own health declined, she continued to stand up for others with courage and determination.

All of us at CAPE are deeply saddened by this tremendous loss. Her indomitable spirit and determination will have a lasting impact on our association and everyone who worked with her. Her commitment to help those around her will never be forgotten. Caroline was a fighter through and through, and we will all miss her tremendously.

In honour of her memory, please consider making a donation to the Collège des Hauts Sommets Foundation

Caroline’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her work, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Thank you, Caroline. For everything.
