Recently, we announced that we would be attending a mediator-facilitated meeting with the Employer. Your representatives, the research team and the negotiator spent October 24, 25 and 26 at the offices of the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board. This first session was used to clarify the respective positions of the parties, to sort out CAPE's proposals and to review the Employer's proposals.
The parties were able to agree on some issues, but priorities still need to be addressed, without which agreement will not be possible. We have therefore agreed to hold a second session on November 14, 15 and 16.
