Federal Election: Where do the parties stand on topics of importance to CAPE members?

A general election campaign is currently underway, with voting day coming up on April 28. Before you vote, take a look at what the federal parties are saying about key topics of interest for the federal public sector.

CAPE reached out to all the federal political parties represented in the House of Commons with a short survey on matters of interest to CAPE members.

The survey touched on topics including:

  • protecting federal public sector jobs
  • remote work,
  • bilingualism,
  • the use of artificial intelligence
  • support for diversity, equity and inclusion in the federal public sector,
  • Indigenous issues
  • Support to Black Class Action Lawsuit

Surveys were sent out on March 31 and responses were due on April 11.

All the responses received are included below.

CAPE received responses from the Bloc Québécois, the Green Party, and the New Democratic Party. The Liberals and Conservatives did not respond despite a reminder.

The responses have not been edited or modified by CAPE.
