2024 Pride season kickoff

As we enter Pride season, CAPE is looking forward to a summer of celebration and recognition of the contributions of members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to our federal workplaces and Canadian society.

June is Pride Month, and various cities across the country celebrate with Pride parades and festivals throughout the summer. For those in the National Capital Region, stay tuned for more from CAPE’s national office on celebrating Public Service Pride Week and the Capital Pride Parade later in August. Get in touch with your local if you’re outside the NCR and would like to get involved in your region.

Let’s remember to take time to not only celebrate, but to embrace our multifaceted diversity and reflect on the work still needed to create a peaceful space and a fair and equitable environment for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Together we can stamp out discrimination and identify solutions to improve awareness and understanding across the public sector and society.
