On April 11, CAPE received a request from a group of members to call for a Special General Meeting to discuss two resolutions, one from the National Executive Committee (NEC) and one from membership, both related to CAPE’s Defence Fund.
A Special General Meeting will be held to address some of the questions members may have.
While one resolution calls for the Defence Fund to be temporarily capped at $5 million until the Operating Fund (#4, NEC) reaches a level equivalent to one year of operating expenditures, the other one calls for a plan by February 2023 to increase the Defence Fund annually (#10, Membership). Both resolutions were approved by the membership in December 2022.
