You are invited to participate in an online training session on Strategic and Impactful Conversations from 9 am to 12 pm ET on September 26th. This session will be held in English. A future French session is planned for mid December.
This event is intended for new or existing Stewards, Local Executives and National Directors who want to get strategic interpersonal communication skills, especially the concept of using key conversations to make impactful change. You will learn how to plan, execute and assess strategic conversations that serve a purpose, while upholding the principles of integrity, safety, and respect as a union leader with CAPE.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Prepare for a meeting and develop a strategy to get results.
- Identify how effective tactics can overcome challenges that may arise during the conversation.
- Manage conflict and create shared value by applying effective negotiation principles.
- Follow through on discussions to ensure implementation of agreements and self-assess on your own efforts.
