Capital Pride Parade 2024

Aug 25, 2024
The parade starts at Elgin and Laurier and ends at Bank and Gladstone.

CAPE will once again be participating in the Capital Pride Parade this year on Sunday, August 25 at 12:30 pm ET and we wanted to invite you all to join us in solidarity, support and allyship with the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Bigger and better
We had such a great time last year that we want to go even bigger and better in 2024. CAPE will once again have its own marching contingent and spot in the parade, a shade tent in the staging area before the parade starts, as well as more Pride merchandise, snacks and light refreshments to keep us cool.

High-level details
We will be meeting between 12 and 12:30 pm ET. Depending on how quickly the parade moves, we should be done anywhere from around 2:30 to 4 pm ET.

The parade takes place rain or shine so please come dressed for the weather and with comfortable shoes for walking the route. There will be some snacks, drinks, sunscreen and bug spray on hand should you forget any or need some.

You will find CAPE set up at Marion Dewar Plaza in front of City Hall – look for folks in CAPE t-shirts and with CAPE flags.

Our staging area code is: B133
Our colour zone is: Red

The parade starts at Elgin and Laurier and ends at Bank and Gladstone.

Related event
CAPE also would like to draw your attention to a related event on August 23 at 6 pm ET – the Trans March. Please bring your CAPE flags/t-shirts and look for others with CAPE flags/t-shirts at the corner of Bank and Gladstone. This is another wonderful opportunity to show solidarity and allyship with the trans community and celebrate trans liberation and joy.
